Q.

My son 3.11yrs old. He is having vitamin D deficiency. Doctor has prescribed D3 medicine once a week. But doctor has not prescribed any calcium for him. He is lactose intoralent and not able to take milk and milk products. What should I give him for calcium requirements.

A. you may give calcium rich food in case. spinach, ladyfinger, broccoli, sweet potatoes, beans, tofu, Soy milk, lentils. Brown rice,sesame seeds,ragi etc are high in calcium. Nuts like almonds are rich in calcium.
