Q.

My LO does not eat veggies and home cooked food..she has chapattis with plain cheese or kesaar shrikhand and plain rice..she has stopped having fruit juices also except water melon juice..how can I incorporate home cooked meals in her diet? Her weight and height is within normal range..

A. Hello mom it’s all about building habits for the kids from a very young age such as you can make vegetable purée or dal and mix in dough to make colourful and flavour full roti or rice or idli or dosa etc

A. that's okay.. Child at this age are picky/ choosy eaters. Give him a normal food in small amounts and in frequent intervals. Feed same food items (menue) continue for 4-5 days then change the food item for another 4-5days.

A. I think its a phase in which kids start building their taste , likes etc. You can try giving her Mashed Veggies(cooked your family style) like Sweet Potatoes , Pumpkin , palak along with cheese or ghee rolled in a roti. Feed her when she is hungry rather than the usual time. Try it for few days. Avoid junk food for some days! 😜
