Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants .
steam inhalation would help in relieving congestion n soothing the irritation in nose and throat .you can give sinarest/ascoril flu cold in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms but only under medical guidance.for fever give calpol.no self treatment should be done.it may take upto two weeks also in recovery so getdont worry if gradually symptoms are getting relieved.child will resume normal activities and eating thereafter.

Every time the baby is exposed to a virus she gets cold or sometimes fever. But u need not worry about this as she develops an immunity to this virus and will be more stronger as she grows old. So it's very common for infants to catch colds or get fever often. It indicates a good development of their immune system. So as the baby grows older the frequency of getting cold or fever he get will reduce. If it is not reduced even after few years then you should let your pediatrician know about it as the kids immune system may be weak and get some immunity boosters prescribed. Always include healthy fruits and vegetables and other pulses in baby's regular diet. Regarding medication, The dosage and frequency of any medication depends on the baby's weight age and severity of the illness. So it's better to get the child examined by ur pediatrician and get the right medication prescribed.
