A. It's not uncommon for girls to experience irregular menstrual cycles during the first few years after they start menstruating. However, having periods more frequently than every 21-35 days, or bleeding for more than 7 days, can sometimes be a sign of an underlying issue. Considerations: 1. Duration of Bleeding: Since your daughter is on her 8th day of bleeding, it is important to seek medical advice. 2. Frequency of Periods: Having her period three times in 15 days is unusual and warrants a consultation with a healthcare provider. 3. Other Symptoms: If she is experiencing any other symptoms, such as severe pain, dizziness, or fatigue, it’s even more critical to see a doctor. Recommended Actions: Consult a Healthcare Provider: It’s best to have her evaluated by a pediatrician or a gynecologist to rule out any hormonal imbalances or other health issues. Keep Track: Document the dates of her periods, the duration of bleeding, and any other symptoms she may be experiencing to share with the doctor. While irregularities can be normal for some girls, especially during the first few years after menarche (the first menstrual period), persistent or severe changes in her cycle should be assessed by a healthcare professional.
