1. Hydration: Ensure that your daughter stays hydrated, especially if she is vomiting or having loose stools. Offer small sips of water, ORS (oral rehydration solution), or clear fluids like coconut water to prevent dehydration.
2. Cold and Cough: For cold and cough, you can use a humidifier to keep the air moist, which helps in easing the congestion. You may also use saline nasal drops to clear the nose. Honey (for babies over one year old) can soothe the throat.
3. Vomiting: If the vomiting is frequent, avoid overfeeding her. Try giving smaller, frequent meals, and ensure she doesn't eat immediately after vomiting. Avoid dairy products if they seem to worsen the symptoms.
4. Loose Motion: For loose stools, continue with fluids, and avoid solid foods that might irritate the stomach. If the diarrhea persists for more than a day or if there’s blood in the stool, it’s important to consult a pediatrician.
5. Monitor Fever: If she has a fever, you can use fever-reducing medication like paracetamol (as recommended by the doctor) and keep her comfortable with light clothing.
If symptoms worsen or don't improve, especially with vomiting or dehydration, it’s best to consult a pediatrician for further treatment and advice.
