Q.

my daughter is around 3 years old now. we had taken polio vaccine dose from our pediatrician earlier as per the pediatrician vaccine chart. my question is: now is it still necessary to take polio dose from municipal office on polio ravivar.

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule and you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5th years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before as per the schedule then falso you should give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine. For polio vaccine dates and related query you need to contact your local authorities .

A. hi not necessary but better to give it . so give polio drops from government campaign up to 5 years age. no problem
