Q.

My daughter is 8 months old and getting thin these days . She is not keen to eat food frequently. Please give some solution.

A. Hii, If your baby is active in playing and crawling and other activities then no need to worry. It also may be her teething time. Physically active babies and babies in their teething phase tend to loose their appetite which results in weight loss. You try to keep diet strong and include ghee in her porridge and meals for weight gain. Banana can also help in weight gain.

A. In 8 months, your baby must have become physically active, trying to crawl and roll. Due to this, a lot of energy is being used. If baby is not a very good eater, try to mix variety of fat and protein rich foods in the diet so that maximum nutrition can be given even in smaller quantities. Include mashed boiled potato, banana, yolk of a boiled egg, chicken and vegetable soup, oats with mixed nuts, etc.
