Q.

My daughter is 5 years old & is underweight.She eats less & plays more. Now a days she drinks a lot of water & doesn't eat full dinner. Kindly suggest some summer diet for her.

A. Loss of appetite and dehydration are common in babies at this time. During summer give variety of Khichdi, curd rice, lemon rice,poha, custard, fruit salad, curd -roti. Give fluids at regular intervals like buttermilk, milk, coconut water, milk shake, fresh fruit juice, watermelon, muskmelon, than water.
