Q.

my daughter is 3yr 8months old. from past 2mnths she started to stutter while telling stories. but now it has increased a lot. I have consulted doc online they said it is quite common it gets to normal in 6months to year of time. im very much worried about her.

A. Stuttering usually first appears between the ages of 18 months and 5 years. Between 75% to 80% of all children who begin stuttering will stop within 12 to 24 months without speech therapy. If your child has been stuttering longer than 6 months, they may be less likely to outgrow it on their own.
