Q.

My daughter is 1month 10 day old. sometimes she sleeps more then 3hours, without asking for milk. So is this ok or I have to wake her up and feed.

A. Thank you for answering. I thing feeding on demand is good if it is within 3hrs and finishing the required number of feeding in 24 hrs.

A. Once your newborn establishes a pattern of weight gain and reaches the birth-weight milestone, however, it's generally OK to wait for feedings until he or she wakes up. Most newborns need eight to 12 feedings a day — about one feeding every two to three hours.

A. Please wake her up, even at nights. Newborns till 3 months need to be fed every 2-3 hours.
