Q.
my daughter is 19 months old. recently she was vaccinated for DPT booster. after vaccine the thigh was swollen and was feeling hardness at vaccine area. she wasn't even letting us touch the area. after putting wet clothes for some time the swelling went down within 24 hrs. but hardness under skin is still there. should we visit doctor or its natural?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaFather of a 12 yr 2 m old boy4 years agoA. if you are child 19 months old and if there is some swelling at the injection site DPT injection causes swelling pain and fever to the swelling will go gradually just maintain good hygiene

Sai Prasanthi R LMom of a 11 yr 6 m old boy4 years agoA. Hello dear parent! It is a normal finding in small babies. Try applying cold compress on the paining area. If required you can give paracetamol drops. If the problem is persistent then consult your child’s doctor for evaluation and advice. Continue feeding your baby well on demand.
