Q.

My daughter is 1 month old when she was born some vaccine given by the hospital staff to her after that she got a bump on her hand. when I apply oil in that areas during the time of massage she crying. How can I treat that bump.

A. don't apply oil or anything on it. The presence of the abscess tells you that the immunisation is working. It is not at all painful for your baby. Don’t try to scratch or treat. Wipe it with some saline water and leave it open to drain. There is no need for any antiseptic lotion or any creams at all, and don’t put a plaster on it either. It will heal by itself over time.
