Q.

my daughter filza 11 month old suffering from cough and cold from past 9 days, consulted with pediatrician he prescripted clavum, astalin and viscodryl D. but cough and cold is not reduced full. please guide

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough bookand fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
