Mom of a 6 yr old girl4 years ago
Q.

My daughter drinks her last milk in milk bottle at 9:30 or 10 and then sleeps after 12 am (till 12:30 or 1). Now I'm not breastfeeding since 3-4 days so when she wakes up in the middle of the night, I just put my hands on her and make her sleep. If she completely wakes up I give her water then put her back to sleep. Again she wakes up at 8 or 8:30am that time I give her milk in milk bottle then she sleeps again and wakes up at 10 approx. I'm worried what if she gets cavities? But even sleep is important. I brush her teeth after she wakes up after 10 while bathing her. I brush only once. So what should I do that her teeth doesn't get cavity later?

A. hi these are not permanent teeth and no, as such there isn't any problem of cavity. just brush your child teeth twice in a day with low flouride toothpaste. avoid giving sticky and sugary food. keep your child well hydrated. provide apt sun light at least 20 minutes a day. maintain good hygiene.
