POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 6 m old boy7 months agoA. I'm sorry your 2-year-old daughter is unwell. Cold, cough, and vomiting can happen due to viral infections, postnasal drip, or stomach upset.
What You Can Do at Home:
✅ For Cold & Cough:
Steam inhalation (2-3 times a day) to clear congestion. Saline nasal drops to ease a blocked nose. Warm fluids like soups or warm water with honey (for babies over 1 year). Avoid cold foods like ice cream or cold milk.
✅ For Vomiting:
Give small sips of ORS or coconut water to prevent dehydration. Avoid heavy meals; offer soft, easy-to-digest foods like khichdi, curd rice, or mashed banana. Keep her upright for some time after meals to prevent reflux.
🚨 When to See a Doctor:
High fever (above 102°F) or fever lasting more than 3 days. Frequent vomiting (more than 3-4 times a day). Dehydration signs (less urine, dry lips, no tears). Breathing difficulty or wheezing.
Let me know if she has a fever or any other symptoms so I can guide you better!
