My child's fever hasn't gone down after giving him cold medicine for a week. Now he's having trouble urinating. What should I do about it?

Why will the fever go down by giving cold medicine that I’m not understanding for fever you have to give paracetamol and if the fever is not reducing and the child unable to urinate properly this definitely a problem please consult your doctor immediately
