Q.

my child is 4 years 5 months old. he's having cold since September. doctor gave antibiotics. completed 4 bottles of antibiotics. but haven't recovered from cold. doctor told he's ears are cleared now being infection. but he haven't recovered from cold till now. what to do? any test to be done or any medicine that you would like to suggest?

A. it appears to be allergic cough/cold. they can be associated with temperature variations around the body (hot to cold or cold to hot environmental changes) which the body cannot sustain leading to cough usually at evening /night and morning. requires examination and start anti allergic medicines. meet dr and prevent such temperaturef variations. there is a possibility of starting anti allergic medicines for at least one month and the doctor will decide if the child needs inhaler therapy or nebulization. when allergiesf are not controlled they can lead to intermittent respiratory infections which needs other medicine
