Q.

my child is 18 months and he was watching cartoons more since he was 9 months..and this pandemic made him watch more and he stopped responding to us and started continously watch cartoons.we stopped screen time completly....not even mobile is given.i wanted to know whether sudden stopping of screen time will cause any effect.

A. Hello ma’am In fact it is very good if you are not giving any screen time to your child as Screen Time is anyway is not good and specially mobile phone is very bad to be given. I would just like to tell you if your child is not responding to you in any manner whether it is name or your child is not making any proper eye contact or not responding not talking then it is a question of concern as it could sometimes indicate to delayed age growth or it could be due to autism also so it would be better to consult a child specialist ones regarding the same and go ahead with whatever they suggest
