Q.
my baby will complete 1 year soon....he is completely on solids.but my problem is he does not eat while in sitting position.he will eat parathas or chillas like that.but for semi solid foods like cerelac or porridge i have to rest him in sleeping position.then only he eats.is it normal?whats the solution?

ExpertDr.Deepinder Kaur DhawanObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. buy a good chair or some musical walker with toys to keep child engaged and you can feed side by side.. eating in lying position can prove harmful..
always give everything in form of purees for easy digestion

Hello ma’am No that is definitely not normal because if your child is going to eat in the lying down position that certain time it can get stuck into your child’s throat also and it can be risky so if your child sit independently you should always video child in the sitting posture only not in the lying down
