my baby's birth weight is 3.25 kg, and his current weight is 5.8 kg. by sept 11 he will complete his 4th month. but I observed that his weight was 5.9kg last week . is it possible to decrease the weight. is this normal? is his current weight okay? he is exclusively breastfeeding.

A. dear mum, a weight gain of more than 2.5 kg in 3-4 months is a normal weight gain. baby should gain at least 500 grams of weight per month on an average.

A. The child is gaining better than the average weight expected so it is a very good but no the weight should not reduce at the same time as you have stated the way should only increase because of the feed the child gain weight and has not been through any health issue then your child should not lose weight it should actually increase if you required you can kindly check with your doctor on that
