Q.
My baby of 11months weight has been 10kg for over 2 months now and am worried. what might be the cause. since she started growing tooth her weight has dropped

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. it is important for you to know that the weight of the child depends upon the genetic patterns and by that pattern only the weight gain in child is seen. it also depends upon the diet the child is taking. so it is advisable that you should meet the doctor who will tell you whether there is anything to worry or not and whether the child requires any health supplements. the child shhould be given different flavours and recipes made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits daily in small amount. you can addd ghee groundnuts dryfruits in the diet and this will help in improving the weight of the child. you can go through many recipes for children in different flavour and taste for your child on firstcry

Ten KG is a very appropriate weight for a child who is 12 months old so the weight is fine but if it is not increasing or it has been stagnant then that is not good and it may be reducing since your child is in the process of having its teeth which leads to loss of appetite so that could be a reason but that’s common
