my baby is preterm baby deliver in 35 week 6 days under low birth weight 1.6 kg and she is in nicu doctor said after birth vaccine is delayed when she is above 2 kg then we will start vaccine #Vaccination

A. Yes, BCG & OPV can be given even if baby’s weight is 1.6kgs and is stable. But for other vaccines >2kgs baby should weight to give vaccine

A. Usually a child is expected to gain 500 g in a month with a premature child you can expect 350 g gain in a month which is minimum do we met child catches the weight of 2 kg to approximately 2.5 kg you can get the vaccination which if the child gets good feed can achieve in 2 to 2 1/2 months
