Q.

My baby is having fat tummy..He does potty after almost every meal..Body is skinny..his weight is 10kgs.he is 16 months old..No pain in tummy..is that fine?

A. Good Growth of the child is very important and for this most important is that child should take a healthy diet where its necessary to give a balance diet which should contain all the nutrition required. This is very important for building the immunity also. Encourage for green vegetables fruits dairy products all kinds of dal and other protein containing food items like soyabean eggs etc. Some nutritional deficiencies can be a cause for less appetite like iron deficiency which is most common. Supplemfuents like iron supplements and multivitamtin with lysine like syp zincovit CL can be given for 1-2 months to increase the appetite. Diet counselling is also very important .

A. Hi Yes it’s all normal There is nothing to worry Do tummy time and cycling movement of legs regularly it also help baby to make muscle stronger and to reduce gas and constipation Give fibre rich food fruits vegetables juice papaya pear banana carrot whole grains milk products etc
