A. Hi, 6 months baby should exclusively be breastfed, but in cases breastmilk is not secreted sufficiently or in loss of mother, doctors advice for formula milk in specific quantities according to the babies age , not even cow, goat ,Buffalo milk or water should be given, after 6 months weaning starts along with breastmilk. So Gripe water is given orally, which can cause stomach issues and infection even diarrhoea. For my baby who's 2 months 16 days old, I apply Mother Sparsh (Roll on) which is Ayurvedic and is applied externally on tummy ,in clockwise direction two circles little further away from Umbilicus, not to be applied on umbilicus. So I feel you can try it. It will help relieve the colic/Gas/ Discomfort.

A. It’s not advisable to give it to the child and why do you want to give it to the child also you should know gripe water can lead to multiple side effects it’s most unhealthy and unsafe product to offer to the child so please never ever give it to the child
