If the rash doesn't go away with home treatment, your health care provider might suggest: A mild (0.5% to 1%) hydrocortisone (steroid) cream twice a day for 3 to 5 days. An antifungal cream, if your baby has a fungal infection. If your baby urinates more frequently, it's typically just a sign of a healthy diet! But if your little one shows signs of a urinary tract infection (such as discomfort, fever, vomiting) or wets diapers fewer than four times a day, talk to your child's healthcare provider.Your baby may urinate as often as every one to three hours or as infrequently as four to six times a day. If they're ill or feverish, or when the weather is extremely hot, their usual output of urine may drop by half and still be normal. Urination should never be painful. In most cases, pollakiuria is not a cause for concern. It will go away without medical treatment after a few weeks or months. The condition is not harmful to the child. However, an increase in urination may also indicate the presence of another underlying condition, such as a UTI.Frequent urination is common in children.
