my baby is 8 days old and he is not waking up for feeds by himself. he keeps on sleeping for 6-8 hours without waking up. also he is not latching on breast after exclusively trying for 6-7 days. He has been sucking from a bottle perfectly fine since the last 2 days but not latching on breast

Sai Prasanthi R LMom of a 11 yr 10 m old boy2 weeks agoA. Hello! Few babies can have latching issues in the first few weeks after birth. With time, they will get to know the skill. Latch your baby well onto the breast and make a good skin contact with your baby while you try to breastfeed. Consult your doctor for further guidance
