My baby is 6 weeks old and developed dry scaly skin around both the ears .. What is the reason?? Is this a skin disease or kind of infection

A. Gently wash the affected area with warm water to remove any loose scales. Do not pick them off. Use a soft towel to dry. This helps loosen the scales too. Massage olive oil into the affected area twice a day for a few days. Use lukewarm water in the bath. Use a mild soap with low pH value to bathe your baby. The soap should be made of natural ingredients and should be unscented and hypoallergenic. Moisturise your baby's skin with a mild moisturiser containing sorbolene and glycerin.
