Q.

My baby is 6 months old and I have been trying to feed her suji for breakfast. I have tried the following - 1. roasted suji boiled in water 2. same as above but I boiled a little ajwain and saunf in the water first for some flavour 3. mixed the above(1) with some mashed banana 4. mixed the above(1) with some boiled apple mash she hasn't taken a liking to any of these and breakfast continues to be a struggle. please advise on some suji preparation and also breakfast ideas - without salt, sugar and cow milk

A. My paediatrician has specifically said no salt, sugar and cows milk so that's what I'm following. other spices are allowed though. she also eats khichri and rice porridge, both with veges like pumpkin, sweet potato, carrot, potato for lunch and dinner, but suji is something I am not able to feed her. I am trying to give her suji or oats for breakfast. I'll try ragi in a few days.

A. But why are you only after Suji to be given to the child you should give all kind of things Suji ragi oats porridge khichadi you can give all kind of fruits and vegetables you should add salt and necessary spices to the food that you’re giving because if you only add water and making a thing what flavour it it is going to generate so make proper proper flavour some stuff for the child that will help and initially when you start giving it has to be liquid consistency so please take care of the consistency as well
