Q.

My baby is 6.5 months old. He fall down from bed yesterday. There’s no visible sign of bruises or any sort of change in behaviour. Do I need to give him any medication? Have heard a lot about Arnica Montana? Should I keep it handy for future fall downs if he gets any bruises? How much it should be taken and should I buy 30c or 200c?

A. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurrent fall injury for a child should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally . Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commohnly associated and can be easily missed out most of the time .
