A. It's great to hear that your baby's weight gain is progressing well! For motor skills like rolling, each baby develops at their own pace. Here are a few suggestions to encourage your baby to roll: 1. **Tummy Time:** Ensure your baby gets plenty of tummy time when awake and supervised. This helps strengthen the muscles needed for rolling. 2. **Encourage Movement:** Place toys just out of reach during tummy time to encourage your baby to move and reach for them. 3. **Model Rolling:** Gently roll your baby from back to tummy and vice versa to show them how it's done. 4. **Playtime on Different Surfaces:** Allow your baby to play on different surfaces, such as a play mat, carpet, or blanket, to provide various textures and resistance. 5. **Minimize Time in Devices:** Reduce the amount of time your baby spends in car seats, bouncers, or swings, as these limit movement opportunities. If you continue to have concerns about your baby's development, it's always a good idea to discuss them with your pediatrician. They can provide personalized advice and check if everything is on track.
