A. It sounds like your baby might be experiencing an allergic reaction to one or more of the new foods introduced. Here are some steps to consider: 1. **Stop the New Foods**: Immediately stop giving the new foods (sol-leaf, ragi porridge, and dal waters) and return to the baby's previous diet to see if the symptoms improve. 2. **Identify the Allergen**: Since multiple new foods were introduced close together, it might be challenging to pinpoint the exact allergen. After the symptoms clear, you can reintroduce each food one at a time with a gap of several days to observe any reactions. 3. **Monitor Symptoms**: Keep a close watch on the baby’s symptoms. If the allergy seems severe or if there are signs of difficulty breathing, swelling, or excessive rash, seek medical attention immediately. 4. **Consult a Pediatrician**: It's crucial to consult with a pediatrician to confirm if the symptoms are due to a food allergy and to receive personalized advice. They might recommend tests or a specific diet plan. 5. **Hydration and Comfort**: Ensure the baby stays hydrated and comfortable. For skin allergies, you can use mild, hypoallergenic lotions or creams as recommended by a doctor. 6. **Document Everything**: Keep a detailed record of what foods were given and when the symptoms appeared. This will help the doctor in diagnosing the allergy. If the baby's symptoms do not improve or worsen, seek medical help promptly. Allergic reactions in infants can escalate quickly, and it's better to err on the side of caution.
