Q.

my baby is 4month old. can i give (south Indian) rice water and dal is it good for health and digestion.

A. no it is not good for digestion and mother's milk is complete food, If your breast feeding your baby then continue to breastfeed at regular intervals and there is no need to give anything else apart from mother milk or formula milk to baby till he complete 6months of age as it is complete food that takes care of hydration as well as nutrition. After 6 month you can gradually start weaning with homemade easy to digest food items like rice porridge ragi porridge mashed fruits apple Puree, mashed banana chiku etc. But whatever you are introducing should be introduced gradually with a small amount

A. good morning it is good however it is to be introduced only upon reaching the age of 6 months I will not recommend you to start giving it to the baby before that it is said that you should give only mothers milk
