Q.

My baby is 4 days old and took a bilirubin test - 16. Now she kept in an incubator and doctor told that since her weight is less - 2.360kg(today) and born weight - 2.482kg. Doctor advises to keep it under photography for 20hours? Could you please advise about this. Does the incubator is must?

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. But it is really very difficult to say anything without proper examination of the baby. It is advisable to get the baby evaluated by a doctor and follow doctors advise properly. Q. hello doctor, my baby is born on 24th Sep 2021 and at that she had bilirubin value 13,so she was kept on phototherapy for 1 day,while discharging she had bilirubin level 11.now last day we took our baby to doctor due to cold symptoms but doctor asked us for blood test as he doubted slight jaundice symptoms, today her bilirubin value is showing 10.6.is this a cause of concern?Please advise.

Hello sir, My daughter was born in 34 weeks birth weight 2.1kg on 19 feb 2022 she was kept in NICU for 2 days in 4rd day doctor prescribed to test her bilirubin (report 11.1) she was given phototherapy treatment for 1 day next day she was discharged after 10 days her bilirubin was 17.8 and lost her weight upto 1.85kg because she was not feeding well and sleepy anytime again she was given phototherapy treatment for 2 days, at the time of discharged bilirubin was 7.8, again after 2 week bilirubin is 16.5 and not gaining her weight sir, what to do now I am very much worried about my daughter my blood group is ( mother) o+ and baby A+
