A. If your 3-month-old baby is continuously itching or pulling at their ears, it could be due to several reasons. Here are some steps you can take: 1. Check for Ear Infections: Ear infections can cause discomfort and itching. Look for signs like fussiness, crying, trouble sleeping, or fluid coming from the ear. If you notice these symptoms, consult your pediatrician. 2. Clean the Ears Gently: Sometimes, wax buildup can cause itching. You can clean the outer part of the ear gently with a soft cloth, but avoid inserting anything into the ear canal. 3. Look for Allergies or Skin Issues: Itching could be related to allergies, eczema, or other skin conditions. Check for redness, rashes, or other skin changes around the ears. If you suspect this, consult your pediatrician for advice on treatment. 4. Keep the Baby Comfortable: Ensure your baby is in a comfortable environment. Avoid excessive heat and keep the room well-ventilated. 5. Monitor for Other Symptoms: Keep an eye out for any other symptoms that may develop, such as fever or changes in behavior. If the itching persists or you have any concerns, it’s best to consult your pediatrician for a proper evaluation and treatment.
