Q.
my baby is 23 months old. fr last 1.5 month she is having fever on and off. She also suffered from coughfor almost 3 weeks. now today also she got 100.4-degree fever. She is very active child but always cranky and all day asking for gaudi. don't know what to do.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor accordigng to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and thehu dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

This is completely normal when a child is irritated they tend to behave like this I just want to cling on to their mothers because I feel more secure when they are with your mother so that’s completely natural you go ahead with the medicines if your doctor has suggested to go for any and over the period you will see once your child starts to feel better the behaviour is going to be much better of your childWrite Your Answer Here
