Q.

My baby is 20 days old and not passing stool for 6 days..My baby is breast fed all the time and fed formula milk for 2 times a day.The pediatrician has prescribed mariliv drop for my baby.but as much I know it is used for liver disease.So is it safe to give mariliv drop to my baby?

A. Look I would like to tell you the constipation in this age is normal if the child is not taking feeding properly passing sufficient amount of human child is comfortable then not passing motion for 10 to 15 days is also very normal and there is no medicine needed to be given so if you are confused about this medicine then don’t give kindly crosscheck with your doctor or other paediatrician once
