Q.
My baby is 2 months 5 days old. She used to cough and sneeze earlier too but the frequency was very less in a day but since yesterday she is coughing and sneezing a lot. But I cannot feel any congestion in her chest not any breathing problem. Should I see the doctor or wait for another day and observe?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus
try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause of cough and cold in small children.can give indirect steam inhalation .
anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation.
for fever and pain give paracetamol
continue the rdegular diet which is being given to the child

You should maybe your child has generally got cold and cough it’s just a airborne infection that a child can catch it’s not necessary that they would be congestion or something since the child is too small I think it would be good to take an advice with your doctor on that
