Q.

my baby is 1year old and she is active but her weight is 5.9kg .can you please help me? how can I gain her weight ,she doesn't eat happily, everything I need to force her to eat .what should I do,so she can gain weight???

A. it is important for you to know that the weight of the child depends upon the genetic patterns and by that pattern only the weight gain in child is seen. it also depends upon the diet the child is taking. so it is advisable that you should meet the doctor who will tell you whether there is anything to worry or not and whether the child requires any health supplements. the child should be givenx different flavours and recipes made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits daily in small amount. you can add gxhee groundnuts dryfruits in the diet and this will help in improving the weight of the child. you can go through many recipes for children in different flavour and taste for your child on firstcry

A. This could be due to nutritional deficiency as well which is why I would advise you to start with an iron supplement for the child as of now which is what is going to be helpful and if required kindly consult your doctor as well because a child is actually about 4 to 5 KG is underweight
