my baby is 18 months old n she got her 18 month vaccination opv je dtap vit a she did vomiting 2 times n her temperature is also high gave her two times paracetamol syrup us it normal to have vomitings after vaccination???

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. it is not normal for baby to have vomiting but it is normal for baby to have fever after vaccine as well as vaccine can induce an immunogenic reaction so give fever medicine

Hi take care If there is fever give paracetamol as prescribed by your doctor. see that if there is a pain and little swelling, give a hot compress to baby. Soak a cotton cloth in hot water squeeze it and gently press on injected area. Ensure wzye risnt too hot. Also cold compress czn help baby relax. If there is heavy swelling or puss or heavy redness then immediately you should see your doctor. If there is vomit see your doctor
