Q.

my baby had bad fever for continuous two days, more than 100, and it reached upto 103.5 also . Now fever is not there but he got some rashes on face and legs prominently and light rashes on bode and hands. Is it a sign on dengue? or what should be done to treat those rashes. After fever he's not eating anything, just staying on milk and water.

A. it's not dengue, The sudden appearance of rashes is quite common post fever. It is often due to a viral infection. . It will usually go in a few days itself. There is no specific treatment for the rash. Apply Lacto callamine. Treatment should be aimed at the other symptoms. It is the other symptoms that may be of more concern. If other symptoms are mild then there is usually little to worry about

A. The rashes can be due to anything not only dengue. So it will be better if u can get the child examined by ur Pediatrician once and follow his advice on this. He may prescribe with any tests if needed .
