Q.

my baby girl weight is 4.00kg and she complete her 3 month she is only on breastfeeding.. is she Underweight?

A. Namaste Mom, As she was unwell and also babies loose weight after their birth as well, monthly weight gain is expected in the range of 400 gm to 1 kg and by age of 4 to 6 months they double their birth weight

A. her Birthwieght is 2.8 kh bt due to jaundice she lost 600 gram in just 6 days so her weight is 2.300kg after 6 days of her birth and after that she gain almost 1.6 kg

A. Your child is little underweight I feel now it would completely depend what was the birth weight of your child so it’s there that the child should gain at least 1500 g in three months because 500 g minimum gain every month should be seen so you calculate on that basis and if it is less then start giving formula milk to your child
