Q.

My baby girl is 3month old but weight is 4.5kg she’s very active and developmentally healthy. And she’s on breast feeding. She does not demand feed for 2-3 hrs and if I offer her every 2 hours she doesn’t take it. So to increase weight I offer her one time formula milk (nan pro) but no significant increase. What else should I go please tell.?

A. Hai.. do not force feed babies unless there is an issue . If u have good milk supply then there is no need for formula milk . Try increasing the feeding time ( feed for 20 - 30 minutes every time ) because hind milk has more fat . Try giving vitamin tonic ( proscribed by doctor) for good absorption and weight gain .

A. The current weight seems good also the weight is evaluated on the basis of the birth weight if your child has gained about 4 to 500 g in a month and then your child has reached this way then that’s a healthy weight gain so there is no need of giving formula feeding to the child that way
