my baby boy is 4.8 kg at 4 months and birth weight is 2.3 kg...Is he is normal or underweight .

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist2 years agoA. dear parent, weight of 4.8 kg is a normal weight for your 4 months old baby considering a birth weight of 2.3 kg. baby should gain atleast 500 grams weight per month until 6 months.

Uma RamMom of a 7 yr 2 m old boy2 years agoA. Hai good evening !! Baby weight is fine,in general babies increase 400-900 grams per month and by 5-6 months they double their birth weight. Baby has gained around 2 kg weight in 4 months so baby growth rate is fine . Give exclusive breast milk or formula milk until 5 complete months from 6 month onwards start semi solid foods.
