A. Dear mum, for healthy weight gain, eat mindfully. Reduce your calorie and fat intake. Avoid processed and packaged foods, junk food. Have healthy fats from almonds, flaxseed. Have lean proteins like eggs, beans, pulses, low fat milk and milk products. Have all seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. Have small frequent meals and adequate fluid intake. Exercise for 45 to 60 minutes every day and have an active lifestyle. Visit a nutritionist for a detailed diet plan and suggestions regarding lifestyle modifications.
