Q.
my 8 month baby had started to eat solid food including breastfeeding but now suffering from cough she is not eating anything,she only wants breastfeeding, instead of treatment her cough is there,is it safe to use nebulizer? if yes, than which medicine to put in nebulizer give me the name plz?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussigjves medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever isr there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
