my 7 month daughter is suffering from cold and cough.. pls suggest any medicine for her

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type d of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduced the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy3 years agoA. Hi mom. Give maxtra syrup for cold and cough to ur baby. Give indirect steam to ur baby 2-3 times in a day and apply baby rub on the chest and feet of the baby to get relief from cough and cold
