My 6 month old baby sometimes tries to scratch her ears by taking her fingers around ears. What should we do?

A. rubbing of ear as well as itching of the ears is totally normal. if the child is not crying do not worry about it and to decrease the itching sensation you can apply coconut oil over skin of ear. do not use earbuds to clean the internal ear cavity. external ear can be cleaned with the help of clean cotton cloth. treatment is given only if the childx is crying with pain while itching. for pain you can give paracetamol. the most common cause would be due to either referred teething pain or due to dry skin of the ears. x
