my 5 months old baby girl have severe cold from 2 weeks. she is not able to breathe properly. tried all medicines given by pediatrician kindly let me know if there is any home remedy

A. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation bddy the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed. if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
