Q.
my 26 month old baby boy doesn't not speak not even words. not even mumma or papa. he responds to his name, makes eye contact, friendly with everyone one. understand whatever anyone says to him and make us understand whatever his wants through gesture and do ehh ehh ehh aah aah whenever he wants to say something. he is active and achieve all his milestone before his age... just there is problem with speech. his screentime is 30 min. i read stories and rhymes with him

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. the child will be able to say meaningful words by 15 months to 18 months of age and by 2 years of age the child will be able to say 2 or 3 words with meaning in a sentence.
sometimes the child may not be able to talk but the child would be able to understand and follow the commands and orders given by the parents.
if you feel that the child is having some delay it is advisable to meet the pediatrician who will decide if the child requires anyy therapy or not in the form of speech therapy as well as other modes of therapy for development in social and language milestone.

Okay so I would say some kids normally start to speak a little late and sometimes a vocal glands do not develop properly with age so if you want you can consult an ENT doctor one time and you can also go ahead we taking a homeopathic treatment if needed basically there is no problem with a child or completely correct but speech can be delayed sometimes
