Q.
my 2 year son have from yesterday afternoon.. today went to doctor and she gave cefixime and p 250 and no cold syrup.. even after medicine he still have fever 102 l. 3 rectally.... why fever not reducing pls help... (he is normal eating food but have itching eyes and cold)

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. You should repeat the dose of medicine on regular intervals like after four to six hours interval avd give more liquids and if fever becomes high then Mefnum syrup can e given alternately with p 125

ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. give medications and repeat at 6 hours, if needed 4 hours Baby is having cold cough and fever then it can be due to viral infection you need to give him steam inhalation indirectly to times in the day and also keep him well hydrated .consult with your doctor near by who will examine the baby and guide you with appropriate medications in their proper dose. Viral fever can last from 3-5 days so you need to to give the prescribed medications for this duration at least and if it is persistent beyond you need to go for the investigation as per the advice of the doctor
